Tour of Britain - Cranbrook

an unexpected opportunity came about for Joe to host the start of stage 2 of the tour of britain from his home town in Cranbrook in Devon where he was given the honour of introducing no less than 2 Tour De France winners (5 titles between them in Chris Froome and Gerraint Thomas) and the whole of team sky. thats another one to tick off the bucket list!

Virgin Money London Marathon

after many years of wanting to work on the world famous Virgin Money London Marathon, Joe was invited to be part of the announcing/commentary team for 2018, based outside Buckingham Palace on The Mall, joe was given the honour of commenting on the Elite races for Men and Women and the Para Athletics wheelchair races. This included commentating on David Weirs 8th Marathon Win and  Sir Mo Farah’s 3rd place and British record run. Joe was then asked to do what he does best and interact with 8,000 or so runners that were finishing from 5pm onwards in the mass run and announce them into the finish line

Alzheimers Memory Walks

I was delighted to spend the best part of a whole month working alongside the Alzheimers society and Staging eventsAlzheimer memory walks to host the annual memory walks all over the uk. 1000s of people (over 100,000) came to various walks all over the country to walk in memory of a loved one affected by dementia and raise awareness and funds for Alzheimers Society, lovely gentle, all age events and the chance to meet many inspirational people including the footballing legend Sir Geoff Hurst.

This Morning Live

Joe was extremely excited to announce as the MainStage Host and event MC for the all new This Morning Live Event at Birmingham NeC on the 18th-21st May involving all the Presenters and personalities and features from the ITV show.

Show will introduce the shows presenters and items and will be working the crowds and keeping the whole thing flowing. And yes he got to work with Holly and Phil! Bring it on! 

Tour de Yorkshire 2017

tour yorkshire carJoe has again been honoured to announce to over 2 million people on the streets of yorkshire as the Lead Car Announcer for the Tour de Yorkshire which is a Tour De France legacy race from the Tour De France organisers

The routes were packed with tons of people coming out to see the race. Joe went a few minutes ahead of the race in the announcers car, telling people about the race and informing them of the latest results and race info. His job also involved making sure the crowds were energised as the race came through. A new chant developed from Joe which was a French and British mix of the oggie oggie oggie chant,

Allez Alex Allez, Oi Oi Oi. This went down a storm and will no doubt be used again.
